Sport Fit Academy launched with a 2018 summer program with two high school athletes and one masters athlete. Our two high school students qualified at the USA T&F State Association meet and then went on to Regionals. While our Masters Athlete placed 13th in the World Masters competition.
Fall and winter of 2018 saw several high schoolers and adults begin training that was geared to improve their performance for the 2019 spring competitions. This summer we enrolled eight athletes, three jr high schoolers and five high schoolers. From these, one Jr High schooler and two high schoolers advanced to USA T&F Regionals.

This statement comes from the mother of an enrolled Jr High athlete:
“Drew has really enjoyed Sport Fit Academy. He feels like he has learned
a lot in a pretty short amount of time. I think having a small group has been very helpful. He is pretty tired after practice, which means he must be working hard”.
Another statement comes from a mother of another enrolled Jr High athlete:
“Thanks to the dedication and attention of Coach Mike Sept, Omar broke several PRs in the 100m and 200m dash this summer. He participated in the USATF Oregon Association Junior Olympics Championships (Newberg, OR), advancing to the USATF Region 13 Championships (Tacoma, WA). We look forward to seeing Omar’s progress under the excellent coaching of Sport Fit Academy this fall. Omar is ranked number 11 (11.70) in the Oregon 100m dash, and number 5 (24.09) in the Oregon Middle School Men’s Rankings. We are extremely pleased with Omar’s performance in this second year of track.”
The following statement comes from an enrolled high school athlete:
“I have benefited tremendously form Sport Fit Academy. It has allowed me to proactice with equipment I wouldn’t be able to use normally and I’ve also recieved some incredible coaching that is always available. I have seen improvements in my strenght, agility and technique along with my mental determination. another apsect that I enjoy is the people. I like being around th ekids there because we are all getting ot know one another and pushing each other to ger better. Being with the other younger kids has also allowed me to give my own guidance and grow valuable leadership skills”.
This statement comes from another enrolled High School athlete:
“Through my summer training with Sport Fit Academy, my performance has really improved. I feel like I went from being a decent performer to a better one. The coaching is behind my improvement. We practice the basics until it’s almost second nature and everything I do is critiqued to help me do the best I can. Not only is the coaching great, it is also very motivational, always making sure I’m giving everything I’ve got during practice”.
